I usually refrain from commenting on the various social issues that unfold within our country, because for one there are enough comments and opinions that flood through our comments and feeds. The second reason being that my primary focus is to not offend with my words but to spread love and positivity. Words sting like salt to a wound. Once those words spill from your mouth, they can scar forever, and the only one who can heal a person from those damaging words is Jesus. My intentions with posting this are to not provoke fear but to invite everyone to pray with me. What happened in Charlottesville is disturbing, and our nation needs prayer more than ever. Our nation needs love, healing, and compassion more than ever. Holding a grudge will not solve our nation’s problems, but Jesus can…. love can.

Let’s say a prayer for those who have been motivated by hatred and those who fear of the current events happening in our country. Let’s pray for peace during this time. I know it may be hard to remain positive during times of trouble, but it is important to cling to Jesus.

I hope these scriptures encourage you during this time

Only God can give us peace

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  John 14:27

Love, love, and then love some more

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2

Do not be afraid, God is always with you

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10.

Through all of this, remember you are wonder.
